Kai Cenat Says Kevin Hart Is Helping Him Pursue Film + Hopes To Produce His Own Movie
Kai Cenat might be looking at a crossover.
In a recent interview with Billboard, the 23-year-old streamer revealed his growing interest in acting and directing movies — and shared that Kevin Hart is playing a key role in helping him make the leap.
Kai Cenat said:
“I would love to be in movies and stuff; he definitely pushes me. He tries to connect me to the right people that direct and write movies and produce them.”
The two became friends after Kevin Hart appeared on Kai Cenat’s stream last May, with the comedian advising him on everything from industry connections to movie recommendations.
While Kai Cenat has a desire to move beyond streaming, he acknowledged that MrBeast offered some advice that made him rethink things, saying,
“Our good friend, Mr. Beast, was like, ‘Why would you use something that you’re so good at to catapult you into another category? Just be completely dominant in the category that you’re in right now and just take over that.’ And I’m like, ‘Damn, he does make a good point.’”
Despite this advice, Kai Cenat is determined to produce his own film, even if it comes at a cost:
“I want to be able to, like, put it out to the world. I’m going to take a hit financially. But like, I want to be able to put it out to the world and just see if a company will pick it up.”
