Mississippi Senator Behind Masturbation Ban Bill Says He’s Receiving Death Threats
Seems like Mississippi Senator Bradford Blackmon has made some enemies with his latest Bill.
As reported, Blackmon introduced the “Contraception Begins at Erection Act,” meant to impose fines starting at $1,000 on men for “discharging genetic material” without the intent to fertilize an embryo. Sperm donation and contraception use would not be penalized under the bill.
In a new interview with TMZ, Blackmon shared that the bill, which aims to spark a conversation about the different treatment men and women receive over reproductive matters, has landed him in the hot seat with some. He said from women he’s gotten mostly “positive” feedback, but from men, the feedback has been 50/50, with those against his actions even sending “vile” hate messages and death threats.
There’s a strong chance that Blackmon’s bill won’t become an actual law. However, he seems to be pleased with the discourse he’s started.
