Gillie Da Kid Criticizes Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Brunch: ‘I Learned That All Of That Sh*t Is Fake’
Looks like Gillie Da Kid isn’t waiting around for an invitation to Jay-Z’s famed Roc Nation Brunch.
In a newly released interview with Shannon Sharpe for Club Shay Shay, the hip-hop star-turned-podcaster took a moment to reflect on industry parties and events, highlighting issues he has with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Brunch. After getting the green light to speak candidly, Gillie Da Kid alluded that the annual event is just a way for Jay to flex his power.

He also questioned what people get for attending, other than maybe a picture with the multi-hyphenate businessman.
“The n*gga don’t even smile with you n*ggas if you ain’t worth $500 million or more. Let’s be for real. The only smiling he do is when the billionaire is in the picture: ‘Look at all these broke a** n*ggas on the lawn.'”
Explaining why he tends to opt out of attending events such as the Roc Nation Brunch or industry parties he later added,
“I learned that all of that shit is fake.”
