Luigi Mangione Indicted Federally For Cross-State $talking & M*rder Of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, De@th Penalty Still On The Table
Luigi Mangione, the man accused of fatally $hooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan on December 4, 2024, has been indicted on federal charges in the Southern District of New York.
Prosecutors allege Luigi Mangione crossed state lines by bus to stalk Thompson, using “interstate travel, electronic communications, and a firearm” in the commission of the crime.
The indictment claims Luigi Mangione acted “with substantial premeditation,” and used a g*n that was “brandished, discharged, and equipped with a silencer.” Prosecutors say he “knowingly” used the weapon “in furtherance of the crimes,” ultimately killing Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel.
One of the federal charges qualifies Mangione for the death penalty. A former deputy assistant attorney general stated there’s a “decent chance” Mangione could receive the ultimate punishment.
Authorities emphasize that his alleged actions showed “reckless disregard for human life” and endangered others during the attack.
