Shannon Sharpe Offered R@pe Accuser ‘At Least’ $10 Million To Settle Case

More has come out about the sexual assault allegations Shannon Sharpe is facing.

Speaking with press today (April 22), Shannon’s attorney Lanny J. Davis reportedly revealed that the woman accusing him of rape was offered “at least” $10 million to settle the situation before it became a public affair.

According to Davis, the alleged proposal came together “within the last month or so” during mediations with the woman. Despite the hefty offer, Davis said the woman, identified as Jane Doe in the suit, “suddenly without warning, walked away from our offer.”

Davis added that it was “a big surprise to us when suddenly this case was filed without any advanced warning.”

As reported, over the weekend, Shannon was hit with a $50 million lawsuit from Jane Doe and her attorney, Tony Buzbee. She claimed she entered a relationship with Shannon in 2023, describing the former NFL player as controlling and verbally abusive. The abuse allegedly escalated, with Jane Doe claiming she was raped by Shannon in 2024 when she tried to end things. She said he sexually assaulted her again at the top of this year. In a statement released earlier today, Buzbee touched on the mediations and shared that they lasted for about 6 weeks, but his client ultimately decided to file her lawsuit.

Shannon has denied the allegations, noting he plans on filing a counterclaim soon. He also called the entire ordeal a “shakedown.”
