Kevin Garnett & His Girlfriend Express Regret After Police Were Called During Domestic Dispute: ‘Inappropriately Involved Authorities’

Retired NBA star Kevin Garnett and his girlfriend were involved in a domestic dispute that ended with police being called, TMZ reports.

Teare Candelier called police around 2 AM to tell them she and Kevin Garnett had a heated exchange. When they arrived, Kevin Garnett had left the scene and police took a report.

Candelier refused medical attention when asked if she needed it.

Sources told the outlet that things between the couple never got physical, and Garnett simply tried to move Candelier out of a doorway so he could leave.

The two shared a joint statement on Sunday saying they regretted the whole ordeal:

“We deeply regret that a personal disagreement escalated and inappropriately involved authorities. It was never our intention to involve others in a moment that should have remained private.”

They added,

“Like most couples, we have disagreements, but our commitment to each other remains strong, and we move forward with renewed respect, understanding, and love.”

It looks like they were able to work things out.
