Diddy Trial Begins Today w/ Jury Selection + Cassie To Serve As Star Witness
The Diddy trial is officially underway.
Jury selection began today (May 5) in NYC as Sean “Diddy” Combs faces federal charges including s*x trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transporting to engage in prost*tution.
If you recall, Diddy’s ex Cassie filed a civil lawsuit last November accusing him of r@pe, trafficking, and abu$e, including claims he forced her into s*xual encounters with male prost*tutes while he watched. Diddy denied the allegations and settled the suit the very next day.
Shortly after, rumors of a federal investigation intensified and were confirmed when authorities raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami. A federal indictment followed soon after.
Now, Cassie is expected to testify under her real name, likely recounting her experience with the mogul, including the 2016 hotel surveillance video showing Diddy kicking and dragging her down a hallway.
Diddy has been in custody since his arrest last September and has pleaded not guilty. Opening statements are scheduled for May 12.
