Wrestling Icon Ric Flair Denies Rumors He Has Cancer: ‘I’m Sorry People Have Been Misled’
Ric Flair has shut down recent health rumors, firmly denying claims he’s battling cancer.
The speculation began when a fan questioned the WWE icon’s frequent “black eyes” and “random gashes.”
Ric Flair’s son-in-law Conrad Thompson responded, “He had a skin cancer removed but go on,” prompting outlets to speculate further.
Ric Flair took to X, writing,
“I’m Sorry People Have Been Misled By Social Media… I Don’t Have Cancer Of Any Kind.” He reassured fans, “I Am Absolutely Fine, And Unfortunately, You’ll Have To Live And Put Up With Me For Another 25 Years!”

Flair, 76, has faced serious health issues in the past, including a near-fatal 2017 incident. “Well, when I almost died in ’17…I had sepsis, respiratory heart failure, total kidney failure,” he recalled on “This Past Weekend.”
Despite everything, Flair returned for a final match in 2022, teaming with Andrade El Idolo in a tag-team win.
