NBA Star Draymond Green Says The Media Is Painting Him As An ‘Angry Black Man’ & Fans Are Weighing In
Draymond Green voiced frustration after receiving a technical foul in the Warriors’ 117-93 Game 2 loss to the Timberwolves, suggesting there’s an “agenda to try to keep making me look like an angry Black man.”
The tech came in the second quarter when Draymond Green, fouled by Naz Reid, flailed during a shot attempt and struck Naz Reid in the head with his elbow. After a review confirmed the foul, Draymond Green erupted at officials and had to be calmed down.
Later, while on a stationary bike in the fourth quarter, a fan hurled a racial slur at Green and was ejected.
The incident may have added to Green’s anger postgame. This marks his fifth technical in just nine playoff games; two more will trigger a suspension per NBA rules.
