North Carolina Popeyes Manager Allegedly $hot Coworker In Dispute Over ‘Burnt Biscuits,’ Charged w/ Attempted Murder

Things turned v*olent at a Popeyes in North Carolina.

According to police, 22-year-old #RodneyWood was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree m*rder and a$$ault with a de@dly weapon after allegedly $hooting a fellow manager on May 11.

WBTV reported that the dispute began over “burnt biscuits.” A witness said the two employees took their argument outside after one “challenged” the other… and that’s when things escalated.

Court documents allege that video shows Wood “discharging his f*rearm twice at point-blank range.” The bullets reportedly struck the victim in the groin and chest. He was rushed to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center for emergency surgery.

After the $hooting, Wood allegedly ran from the restaurant but was found nearby in the same shopping center. He later told police that his coworker had punched him in the face three times and claimed he fired “two warning $hots.” However, authorities wrote that Wood “failed to articulate a credible, imminent thre@t of de@dly force necessary to support a self-defense claim under state law.”

Wood’s bond was set at $50,000.
