Update: Over 200 Bodies Recovered After Air India Flight Crash In Ahmedabad

Update: (Jun 12, 2025):  The latest update in the tragic Air India crash confirms more than 200 people have died.

According to the city’s police commissioner, G.S. Malik, at least 204 bodies have been recovered thus far, with one survivor pulled from the wreckage, now receiving treatment.

The London-bound Boeing 787, carrying 242 people, crashed into a medical college shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad on Thursday (June 12). Five students were among the dead after the aircraft struck a dining facility.

Officials from the U.S. and U.K. are assisting with the investigation.

Original Story: (Jun 12, 2025) (By CJ): An Air India plane heading for London Gatwick Airport crashed in a residential neighborhood in Ahmedabad, India.

There were 244 people on the Boeing-787 when it crashed just after takeoff.

No casualties have been reported and the story is developing as officials attempt to sort out what happened.
