Lizzo is reflecting on the emotional toll of the 2023 s*xual h@rassment lawsuit filed by three former dancers, which accused her of weight-shaming and misconduct.
In Women’s Health, the Grammy winner admitted the ordeal left her “very paranoid and isolated.”
“I used to walk into glam and be like, ‘Oh, let me tell you about this crazy shit that happened last night!’ I couldn’t do that anymore,” she said, noting, “I wasn’t even talking to my therapist. I wasn’t present. I wasn’t open. I wasn’t myself anymore.”
At her lowest, Lizzo confessed, “It got to the point where I was like, ‘I could d*e.’” She emphasized she never attempted suic*de, but the public backlash made her question her worth.
Her turning point came during Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour.
“It made me feel like, ‘Wow, maybe I don’t want to d*e,’” she recalled. “Life is worth living.”
