Cardi B Sued For A$$ault By Woman Allegedly Struck By Microphone At Rapper’s Las Vegas Concert In 2023
Cardi B is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims the rapper hit her with a microphone during a 2023 performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas.
The anonymous woman, referred to as Jane Doe, alleges that Cardi B invited fans to toss water on her to cool off in the triple-digit heat. According to Doe, she followed the request but was then struck by a microphone Cardi allegedly threw into the crowd.
Attorney Cierra N. Norris, representing Doe, plans to hold a press conference Thursday in Las Vegas.
Video footage from the event showed Cardi initially reacting positively to fans who splashed her. However, another clip captured the moment she launched the microphone into the crowd.
Cardi was investigated by police but never charged. The microphone later sold for $99,000, with proceeds reportedly going to the Wounded Warrior Project and Friendship Circle Las Vegas. Doe claims the sale “exacerbated [her] emotional distress.”
She is suing for a$$ault, battery, negligence, and more.
