NYC Gunman Intended To Attack NFL Offices, But Took Wrong Elevator, Mayor Reveals
NYC Mayor Eric Adams says the g*nman who k*lled four people at a Manhattan office building may have been trying to reach the NFL’s headquarters but took the wrong elevator.
“The NFL headquarters was located in the building, and he mistakenly went up the wrong elevator bank,” Adams said in an interview.
The $hooter, identified as Shane Tamura, left behind a note referencing the NFL and claiming he suffered from CTE… the degenerative brain condition linked to repeated head trauma. Authorities believe Tamura, who had a history of mental illness, blamed the league for his alleged condition. He played high school football in California nearly 20 years ago.

According to Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, on July 28, Tamura exited a BMW with an M4 r*fle before opening fire in the building’s lobby, k*lling an off-duty NYPD officer and two other people. He then headed to the 33rd floor and k*lled one more person before turning the g*n on himself.
