Brooke Hogan Breaks Silence After Not Attending Dad Hulk Hogan’s WWE Tribute: ‘WWE Did Not Extend An Invite’
Brooke Hogan is setting the record straight about her absence from WWE’s recent tributes to her father, Hulk Hogan.
“For those of you giving me crap for not attending my Dad’s tributes, @wwe did not extend an invite,” she posted on her Instagram Story Wednesday.
WWE honored Hulk with a 10-bell salute during “SmackDown” on July 25, and again on “Monday Night RAW.” Brooke was not present, though Hulk’s son Nick Hogan attended the latter.
Brooke and her father had been estranged for two years before his July 24 death from a heart attack. In an emotional Instagram post, she said their rift wasn’t caused by a single “fight,” but rather a need to protect herself.
“He knew I would run through a burning building for him,” she wrote. “He knows how deeply, how hard and how purely I loved him. I am at peace knowing this.”
She also noted her husband remained in touch with Hulk in hopes of finding “a safe way back in.”
