Singer Johnny Gill Says He Won’t Address Gay Rumors Or Discuss His Private Life, But Confirms A Defamation Suit Is In The Works: ‘It’s Coming’
Johnny Gill is making it clear there’s only so much he’ll tolerate when it comes to people speaking on his name.
During a recent sit-down on Way Up with Angela Yee, the former New Edition member explained that he doesn’t address rumors about his sexuality or share details about his personal and romantic life because he prefers to keep some parts of himself private.

While he mostly ignores the rumors and online chatter, Johnny made it clear that when it comes to people flat-out lying on his name, he’s ready to take legal action. He stated:
“When you lie on me and say you saw something that you didn’t see, something I’ve never done in my life… that’s when I got the lawyers and they say, ‘This is defamation,’” confirming his intent to pursue legal action.
Do you agree with Johnny’s choice to pursue defamation or should he continue to ignore public opinion all together?
