Porsha recently filed court documents requesting that a judge hold her ex-husband, Simon, in contempt for allegedly failing to fulfill financial obligations following their divorce. She claims Simon still owes $667,359.55, covering alimony, attorney’s fees, marital residence costs, and property taxes.
Porsha emphasizes that his nonpayment represents “a knowing, intentional, and ongoing disregard for this Court’s authority and the Final Judgment it issued.” As a potential remedy, the reality star proposes that Simon relinquish his equity stake in their former marital home.
Responding to the legal request, Simon tells TMZ:
“I’m finding out from [a] media publication about the new filings. As you may be aware, the divorce action has been closed, and the matter is now before the Georgia Court of Appeals.”
He adds:
“We filed a timely appeal (30 days) of the judge’s decision, and I’m sure opposing counsel is aware that a higher court has to rule on the merits of the appeal before a lower court would entertain any ‘new’ court filings. Until then, those filings are tantamount to toilet tissue for the public’s consumption.”
