Singer & Actress Andra Day Says Manager Of 14 Years Stole $1.6 Million & Left Her Facing Eviction
Singer #AndraDay has filed a countersuit against her former manager, Jeff Evans, alleging he embezzled at least $1.6 million from her over the course of their 14-year business relationship.
The complaint accuses Evans of “being caught red-handed stealing,” including diverting a $600,000 recording fund and $1 million in royalties. Andra claims Evans also withheld payments owed to her and left her facing eviction due to financial instability caused by his actions. Her suit comes after Evans filed his lawsuit on Monday (Oct. 6), asserting that Andra owes him for unpaid royalties and backend payments, as well as an additional $850,000 per their alleged contractual agreements.
