Funk Flex Hints At Permanent Hot 97 Morning Show Role After Ebro Cancellation: ‘More Details On The Way’
Funk Flex set social media buzzing after announcing a major update about his future at Hot 97. Flex revealed he filled in on the morning slot this week after Ebro in the Morning was unexpectedly canceled, and the response was strong enough to spark bigger plans.
“HOT97 MORNING SHOW UPDATE! WE RECEIVED A GREAT RESPONSE ON ME FILLING IN 6AM THIS WEEK!” Flex tweeted, before confirming, “I ACCEPTED THE MORNING SHOW POSITION FOR 2029!”
He added that he’ll exit his longtime 5 p.m. slot then, while teasing that the new 2026 Hot 97 Morning Show is already two-thirds complete. Now, it looks like Flex’s fill-in run could turn into a permanent morning takeover.
“MORE DETAILS ON THE WAY,” Flex wrote.
What do you think Ebro thinks about this?
