Gunna’s Touring Company Sues Promoters Over Unpaid $500,000 X Games Performance + Claims He ‘Hasn’t Seen A Dime’
Gunna’s Touring Company Sues Promoters Over Unpaid $500,000 X Games Performance + Claims He ‘Hasn’t Seen A Dime’
Atlanta rapper Gunna is taking legal action after his team claims a major performance payday never came through.
According to TMZ, the rapper’s touring company alleges it was booked to perform at an X Games event in Aspen this past January under a contract guaranteeing $500,000 the night of the show. The agreement reportedly included an additional $250,000 payment if the initial amount wasn’t delivered by the first deadline.
Despite Gunna fulfilling his obligation and performing, his company claims “he hasn’t seen a dime” and has instead been given the runaround by promoters.
The suit names Mickle and Mickle Productions as the company behind the booking, alleging they offered questionable explanations for the missing funds. According to the complaint, promoters claimed payment was tied up in gold commodities and suggested the money would come from a “major alcohol brand” or even the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City — claims the lawsuit describes as hollow.
Gunna’s company is now suing for breach of contract and fraud, seeking $750,000 in damages. The X Games is not named in the lawsuit.
Do you think Gunna is gonna get his check?
