Very sad news: Atlanta police are investigating after 36-year-old boutique CEO and rapper Siditty, born Qualeisha Barnes, was found shot to death inside her Range Rover in southeast Atlanta, according to local reports. Police said officers discovered the SUV in the street and found Barnes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities said the shooting happened early Wednesday morning, with investigators believing the gunfire came from outside the vehicle. The Range Rover was reportedly stopped in the roadway when officers arrived on the scene.
What makes the case even more heartbreaking, Barnes was reportedly 14 weeks pregnant at the time of her death, adding another devastating layer to the tragedy surrounding the Atlanta entrepreneur and artist.
Police are now said to be reviewing nearby surveillance footage and speaking with neighbors in hopes of piecing together what led to the fatal shooting. As of now, no arrests have been announced.
Barnes, known in Atlanta as Siditty, built a name for herself as both a music artist and boutique business owner, making the shocking killing one that is already drawing major local attention. What do you think needs to happen for cases like this to be solved faster in major cities?
