Donald Trump Says White House Was A “S—house” Before He Returned To Office
Donald Trump is once again making headlines over comments about the White House — this time calling the historic residence a “s—house” before his latest round of renovations.
Speaking during a Rose Garden event tied to Police Week, Trump claimed the White House was in “very bad shape” before he returned to office. While explaining the condition of the property, he joked that first lady Melania Trump told him to “act presidential” and avoid foul language before he made the remark.
“I would have said it was a s— house, but I don’t want to say that,” Trump said while discussing repairs and upgrades made around the property.
The president claimed columns were “falling down,” plaster was deteriorating and walls were in “horrible shape” before renovations began. He also said he personally paid for some of the stonework and improvements now featured throughout the White House grounds.
Trump additionally provided an update on the controversial White House ballroom project, a reported multi-million-dollar expansion being built where the East Wing once stood. According to Trump, the ballroom will become “the most beautiful ballroom anywhere in the world.” ?
