Surprised? Former Reality Star Spencer Pratt Sits In Second Place In LA. Mayoral Primary, Likely Headed For Runoff Against Karen Bass
#SpencerPratt’s unlikely political run is gaining serious traction.
The reality star captured 30.4% of the vote as of early Wednesday morning, landing him in second place in the L.A. mayoral primary behind incumbent Mayor #KarenBass, who led the field with 34.8%. City Councilwoman Nithya Raman came in third with 22.3%. However, those numbers could shift as additional votes are counted.
Because no candidate surpassed the 50% threshold needed to win outright, the race appears headed to a runoff, likely between Democrat Bass and Republican Pratt, who will face off in the November 3 general election. The two have already clashed on the campaign trail, with Pratt accusing Bass of violating election law by campaigning too close to polling locations.
Meanwhile, Bass spoke out against AI-generated pro-Pratt videos circulating online that she says promote violence.
