Floyd Mayweather Hit w/ New Lawsuit Over Failed Mike Tyson & Manny Pacquiao Fights Days After Felony Theft Charge

Floyd Mayweather is facing another legal fight after CSI Entertainment sued the undefeated boxing star in New York, claiming he took millions for planned bouts with Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao before backing out of the deals. According to TMZ Sports, the promoter says it paid $4.65 million in advance money for exclusive rights to two major events, including an exhibition with Tyson and a Pacquiao rematch that would have put Mayweather’s 50-0 record on the line.

CSI claims $4.5 million went to Mayweather’s management company, Frist Apex Ventures, and that Mayweather personally approved the agreement. The company also alleges he accepted a separate $150,000 advance, then announced a fight with Greek kickboxer Mike Zambidis through another promoter the next day.

The lawsuit comes just days after Mayweather was charged with felony theft and intent to defraud over allegations he used a bad check to buy a $200,000 watch. His lawyers had not publicly commented as of late Thursday afternoon.
