Kyrie Irving Sets Record Straight, Confirms No Bad Blood Between Him & His 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers Teammates After Missing
Reunion
#KyrieIrving is shutting down talk of bad blood with his former #ClevelandCavaliers teammates after he missed their recent 2016 title reunion.
In a video shared online, Kyrie made it clear “we’re good,” adding he plans to link up with the group when he’s back in the U.S. — while also calling out what he sees as “immaturity” in the media for pushing drama-filled narratives. The chatter picked up after former teammates like #LeBronJames, Tristan Thompson, and Kevin Love posted clips from their UK meetup, where they were golfing and sipping wine without him.
Still, Kyrie’s absence doesn’t appear to signal any real issues. J.R. Smith said Kyrie reached out and insisted they’re “good,” even calling him the best point guard he’s ever played with. Kyrie also showed love on social media for the anniversary of the Cavs’ historic 2016 win over the Golden State Warriors, sharing in his post, “We completed this mission together as brothers, and that’s all that matters to me.”
