Amber Rose Says She Won’t Teach Her Children They Have To Work Harder Because They’re Black
Amber Rose is stirring conversation online after sharing her perspective on race, opportunity and the lessons she plans to pass on to her children. During a recent podcast appearance on @thetruthafterdark , the model and entrepreneur said she doesn’t believe Black children should be taught that they have to work significantly harder than others simply because of their race.
“I will never tell my kids to work 10 times harder just because they are Black,” Amber said. She went on to explain that she doesn’t want to raise her children with what she described as a victim mindset, adding that she believes success is still attainable regardless of race.
At one point in the conversation, Amber declared, “Your skin color in America is not finna stop you from being great,” emphasizing that she wants her children to focus on their goals rather than believing their race will prevent them from achieving success.
