Viral Twin Influencer Kamar Williams Found Safe After Going Silent-Says Life Was ‘Getting The Best Of Me’
Social media influencer Kamar Williams has contacted his family after nearly 48 hours of silence sparked widespread concern online.
In a statement issued July 17, Williams’ family confirmed with @freddyophotos that the creator, known as one-half of the @80ktwins, reached out after leaving home on July 14. He told his twin brother, Kiyel Williams, that he needed time away from social media to focus on his mental and emotional well-being.
Williams said he had been overwhelmed by anxiety and wanted space to reflect on his identity, future and direction in life.
“It is sometimes difficult to reflect on yourself and understand your own identity, especially when you have a twin around all the time,” he said, apologizing for frightening his loved ones.
He also thanked supporters, blogs and media outlets for showing concern and said his publicist connected him with an organization that can provide help.
“I need a few more days of solitude to clear my head,” Williams added. “I appreciate your love, support and patience.”
Williams said he never intended to scare anyone and hopes the difficult period passes soon.
