#Netflix just announced “Women Like Us,” a new film backed by Charles D. King’s Macro Film Studios and the Obamas’ Higher Ground, starring Whoopi Goldberg, Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Williams and Vivica A. Fox. The movie follows a recently widowed woman whose girls’ trip to the Hamptons — planned around what would’ve been her 30th wedding anniversary — turns into an emotional weekend of healing, reflection and sisterhood. Production is set to kick off this fall in New York City, with #TashaSmith tapped to direct. No word yet on when it’ll hit the streamer.
