Toni Braxton Addresses Nearly $600K IRS Tax Debt, Says Bill Has Already Been Paid
Toni Braxton is clearing the air after reports surfaced about a substantial federal tax lien.
According to TMZ, the Grammy-winning singer was issued a federal tax lien on June 22 alleging she owed approximately $598,000 in unpaid federal taxes. The reported balance included $69,390 for 2022, $278,876 for 2023, and $250,358 for 2024.
However, Braxton’s representative tells the outlet that the debt has already been paid in full, meaning the issue has since been resolved.
The reported lien comes more than a decade after Braxton’s well-documented financial struggles. The singer previously filed for bankruptcy in 1998 following a dispute with her record label and again in 2010, with her second bankruptcy case closing in 2015.
Neither Braxton nor her representative has publicly elaborated beyond confirming the tax bill has been satisfied.
