Drake Says He ‘Hates’ The Term ‘Tricking,’ Says He Enjoys Spending Money To Make Others Happy

Drake is making it clear that he doesn’t consider spending money on someone “tricking.”

While streaming, the rapper opened up about his approach to taking care of people and why he isn’t a fan of the popular term often used to describe lavishly spending on a romantic interest.

Drake explained,

“Tricking has a negative connotation to it. It’s like you’re doing something for something in exchange.”

For the Toronto superstar, however, giving appears to be less about what he receives in return and more about how it makes the other person feel.

“It’s just nice to make somebody else feel good.”

Drake has certainly never been shy about enjoying the finer things in life, but his comments offer some insight into his perspective on generosity. Rather than viewing spending as transactional, he says he simply enjoys taking care of people and seeing them happy.
