DDG is opening up about one celebrity interaction that apparently left him feeling a little caught off guard.

The rapper and content creator recently revealed that actress Sanaa Lathan was the only famous person he has met who he felt had an attitude toward him. According to DDG, he approached the veteran actress as a fan and tried to show her love, but the interaction did not go the way he expected.

“She just didn’t acknowledge me at all. I met her, I was like, ‘I’m a big fan. My mom loves you,’ and she just nodded, took the picture, and turned right back around. I was like, ‘DAMN.’”

DDG did not claim that Lathan said anything disrespectful to him, but he clearly felt the actress was not interested in having much of a conversation beyond taking the photo.

The moment stood out to DDG because, according to him, he has generally had positive experiences meeting other celebrities throughout his career.

Lathan, known for films including “Love & Basketball” and “The Best Man,” has not publicly responded to DDG’s comments.

For DDG, though, the brief encounter was memorable enough to earn Lathan the distinction of being his one awkward celebrity experience.
