Rapper Boosie BadAzz says viewers didn’t get his full side of the story after he appeared on “60 Minutes” Sunday (Sept. 13) as part of the show’s investigation into the booming business surrounding presidential pardons. Boosie said he sat for an hour-long interview about his failed attempt to secure a pardon from President Donald Trump, but claims only “a few things” made the final cut. “My story wasn’t told fully,” he wrote on X, adding that he hopes the interview will ultimately help prove his case as he seeks compensation. CBS’ segment, titled “The Pardon Economy,” did feature Boosie discussing the $600,000 he paid lobbyists Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl to help secure a pardon. the “60 Minutes” broadcast, Boosie doubled down on his position, writing, “MY STORY WASNT TOLD FULLY,” and saying he hopes the interview will help establish his claims if the dispute reaches civil court. CBS’ investigation went beyond Boosie, secretly recording Burkman and Wohl pitching another pardon seeker and telling him they could pursue a Trump pardon for $300,000. The White House denied that money influences Trump’s clemency decisions, telling CBS that anyone paying lobbyists for pardons is “foolishly wasting their money.”
