Former “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” star #MelodyShari is speaking out after turning herself in on a dome$tic v!olence charge, making it clear she denies the allegations against her.

Melody surrendered at the Madison County Jail Tuesday morning (Sept. 22) on a third-degree dome$tic v!olence-harassment charge stemming from allegations made by her ex-husband and former co-star #MartellHolt, according to her publicist. She was booked shortly before 9:30 a.m. and released by 11 a.m.

In a press release shared with #TheJasmineBRAND, Melody maintained that Martell’s allegations are “fabricated” and said she voluntarily surrendered to cooperate and allow the legal process to play out. She also connected the ordeal to what she described as years of harassment from her former spouse, saying, “Unfortunately, I have endured harassment for years, affecting my family, children and livelihood.” Melody added that she believes her situation highlights a larger issue surrounding knowingly false police reports and said she plans to advocate for reform in Alabama. Her statement also notes that State Sen. Merika Coleman has pre-filed legislation aimed at strengthening accountability when a knowingly false report leads to an arrest.

Melody said she intends to keep fighting the charge through the legal process while pushing for broader change, adding, “Knowingly filing false reports consumes government resources, creates unnecessary law-enforcement encounters, affects public and officer safety, damages careers and reputations, and has lasting consequences for families.” For now, she appears determined to clear her name while turning her own legal battle into a larger conversation about false reporting.
