[Full Interview] Willow Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith & Her Mother Have Public Therapy Session

In an upcoming Mother’s Day interview, 40-year-old Jada Pinkett-Smith, her 11-year-old daughter, Willow, and Jada’s mother (Adrienne Banfield-Jones) share a candid conversation in a piece called ‘Red Table Talk’. The three generations of women hold a therapy-like session where they are allowed to ask and answer questions about their personal relationships with each other. During the conversation, Willow confesses the one thing that she’d change about her life.
“If I had to change one thing about my life, it would probably be, I wouldn’t be famous….Because when you’re famous it’s so hard. Let’s say if a regular girl is going to the book store, it’s ten times harder to go everywhere [when you’re famous]. But some people are like, ‘Oh, it’s so easy,’ and I’m like, ‘As fast as you can get there, it’s going to take me ten more minutes to get there.’ Because I have to call security.”
The three also discuss the guilt that Jada’s mother feels about her upbringing, Jada’s biggest challenges in marriage and motherhood, how Baltimore streets helped Jada’s upbringing and more. Peep the clip.
