Stylin’ On You Hoes :: Kerry Washington Beats the Pavement in Conservative Leather

Actress Kerry Washington was spotted beating the pavement Wednesday afternoon. Signing autographs, enroute to promo at MTV studios, the ‘Scandal’ actress opted for a more conservative look. Wearing a knee-length leather skirt, short-sleeved printed blouse, gold belt and over-sized bag, she was all smiles for photogs and on-lookers. I must say, it can be a struggle to pull off a leather skirt…what do we think of Kerry’s look?

And in non-dissecting-Kerry’s-outfit-news, over the weekend, she was over-heard singing Shonda Rhimes praises at the 23rd annual Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) awards. While on stage she beamed about working with Rhimes on ABC’s Scandal:

“I’d actually never met Shonda Rhimes before I went in to meet with her for the role of Olivia Pope in ABC’s Scandal. When I got off the elevator at Shonda’s office, I saw a huge sign that said Shonda Land and I thought, ‘Whoa! I don’t know if this is gonna work out!’ To witness the vast world that Shonda has created was intimidating…Throughout my career, people have asked me what my dream job would be and today I have it… I’m not sure that I will ever come up with a better boss. Working in Shonda Land makes me feel like the luckiest broad in showbiz.”
