André Leon Talley Gets Late Night Talk Show + Queen Latifah Inks Netflix Deal
If you’re obsessed with fashion, chances are, you’re thrilled with this news. If you couldn’t get enough of André Leon Talley gorgeous face making cameos or semi-regular appearances on shows like America’s Next Top Model, Sex and The City: The Movie and Valentino: The Last Emperor, you’re in luck. The 63-year-old Vogue magazine contributing editor has reportedly signed a deal with production company Electus to develop a late-night talk show. In an interview with WWD, he explained the shows concept, describing it as:
“… a show that blends Dick Cavett’s approach to eloquence and sophistication with unparalleled access into my international fashion lifestyle. A forum where unique stories will be told and inspirations shared.”
Talley will host and executive produce the show, but no ETA on when it will air.
And in even more entertaining Hollywood news, Queen Latifah’s empire continues to grow. The production company owned by her and Shakim Compere, has just struck a multiyear licensing deal with Netflix. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Latifah explained:
“Shakim and I are thrilled to do business with Netflix. Netflix is such a strong brand and the perfect place to showcase our projects.”
