Can Queen Latifah’s Talk Show Compete With ‘The View’? + Bobbi Kristina Pens Short Open Letter to Whitney Houston
More details have been released about Queen Latifah’s daytime talk show. Indie Wire confirms both the shows name and launch date.
CBS landed what will be called The Queen Latifah Show (recall the Queen once hosted a talk show, also titled The Queen Latifah Show, which had a rather short run, from 1999 to 2001. Expectations for this upcoming new program are probably higher). The show – which will feature celebrity interviews, human interest stories, comedy, pop culture and musical performances, and showcasing Queen Latifah’s talents, blending comedy and music into her hosting duties – now has an official premiere date of Monday, September 16, 2013, at 11am. So it looks like Latifah will be going up directly against the women of The View on ABC, which also comes on at 11am daily.
Do you think Queen Latifah has the potential to compete with ‘The View’? And in other news, a little over a year since her mother’s death and Bobbi Kristina continues to publicly mourn the death of Whitney Houston.
And it’s to be expected. For those of you that have experience the death of a mother, I’m sure you can relate to how painful this loss can be. This week, the 20-year-old wrote on Instagram:
I pray I’m growing into thee phenomenal women you always knew I’d be mommy, I love you & miss you immensely ..& I always will. YOUaremyHEART• YOUaremyLIFE• YOUaremyEVERYTHING• YOUaremyMOTIVATION• YOUareME•IamYOU. WEareONE• forever&always• iLoveyouMYlady •• xO
