Common’s Gala Fundraiser + Maya Angelou, Rahm Emmanuel & Sherri Shepherd Attend

Saturday, April 16th, Rapper/Actor Common held his ‘Common Ground Foundation Gala Fundraiser’ in Chicago at the Intercontinental Hotel. Common’s foundation is dedicated to developing youth in underserved communities to be contributing citizens and strong leaders. The evening was emcee’d by ABC7’s Cheryl Burton. Maya Angelou was honored at the event, as well as actress/singer Keke Palmer, business leader Dee Robinson Reid and comedian/actress Sherri Shepherd (of “The View”).
