Numbers. Don’t. Lie. — Oprah’s Finale Highest Audience in More Than 17 years
The Associated Press has confirmed that Oprah Winfrey’s final farewell episode scored its highest audience in 17 years. The Nielson Co. reports that the final episode delivered a 13.3 household rating in the nation’s metered markets. That’s the highest number since February of 1994 when she did an episode called “People Shed Their Disguises” (sidebar: I don’t even remember that show). A viewer count for the “Oprah” finale won’t be available from Nielsen for two weeks.
