Well I am forever NAPPY!!! No matter what anyone says.
Chemicals can break your hair also. He didn’t make a valid point in my opinion. I know PLENTY of girls with “natural” or “kinky” hair and have plenty of if. Hair is hair. Just take care of yours and it’ll probably do whatever you want
I’m natural, and I’m not one of those people who get offended, I lost more hair natural messing with combs and washes! So i personally think about going back to perms all the time, and then i get a weave and it’s fine, but lately I just want my real hair OUT and breathing. I can’t do much with natural styles without looking like i’m 12 years old. I don’t care for a ton of natural hair styles, because i feel like i always have to do extra such a big earrings, or make up to feel confident, I always have to do something random with it to make it work. My natural hair pattern SUCKS, and i’m actually tired of going through $$ trying to find the right product! It’s tiresome and i really think Natural hair chics need to get a thicker skin! it’s not that serious, if women like permed hair its not always about being ashamed of who you are, maybe people don’t have time to be sitting around wasting money, and all this stuff to get what they are looking for out of it. I’m natural and like i said, It’s not all that, its not empowering, its nothing special to me, I just don’t feel like paying somebody a crazy amount to perm my hair, and i hate having to get them every 6 months because my natural hair is wicked thick and the nugrowth looks crazy after a month. Sometimes it just doesn’t work, id rather him admit that he doesn’t know how to style natural then attempt to have someone looking a hot mess. LOL ppl are too sensitive with words, and this whole hair mess.
If you have natural hair and are thinking of perming it, before you do so, check out longhairdon’tcare2011 on youtube. You are actually better off without a relaxer. If you prefer the straight look you can achieve that quite easily by blow drying every wash and flat ironning just a few times a year (4 or 5). Trust me this way you can maintain length and body. With a perm you inevitably lose both.
