Cissy Houston’s Letter to Whitney, “The holy spirit told me that you would not be with me long…”
On Saturday, the homegoing service for Whitney Houston took place in Newark, N.J. Tributes and parting words were shared in the live-TV broadcast ceremony that lasted over two hours. And in addition to catching a glimpse of the private Whitney (via words from close friends and family), the public also gets a glimpse of the fallen star from a letter that her mother, Cissy, penned w/in her obituary. In the touching letter to her daughter, Cissy explains that she knew that Whitney would not be “with us long” and that on the day that Whitney had passed, she believed that she (Cissy) had received signs. On Sunday, the private burial for Whitney will take place in New Jersey. She will be buried next to her father at Fairview Cemetery.

I can relate to this having lost my mom who was my best friend. It must be hard losing a daughter who is loved as much as it seems Cissy loved her Nippy. Sometimes we know as I recall the last time I saw my mom before she died just saying good bye had seem so final.
I feel their pain. Thanks for divine love that allowed Cissy and the rest of the family for enjoying sweet unconditional love from a very beautiful soul,her Nippy

Mrs. Sissy you were truly blessed with an Angel from on High, and the bible teaches us that we are not to be selfish but to share with those that do not have, I was not bless to have a daughter but 3 sons, and I thank you for sharing yours with the world. It was a high price you had to pay. Please believe we understand your sacrifice. May God continue to keep you and your family and may you have the strength to continue with Bobbie Kristie.
