Bebe Winans Releasing Book About Whitney Houston Called, ‘The Whitney I Knew’

A few weeks ago, we confirmed that Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy, was writing a memoir about her daughter, with a February 2013 release date (marking the one-year anniversary of the iconic star’s death). Cissy released a statement:
“When I lost my daughter Nippy (Whitney Houston’s nickname), the world lost one of the most beautiful voices and an extraordinarily beautiful and charitable woman…In sharing our story in this book, I hope to give her fans something to treasure, the way we all treasured Whitney. We are still receiving thousands of letters each day from her fans, and I hope reading this book will provide a deeper understanding into my daughter’s true story.
And we’ve now learned that gospel singer BeBe Winans is also releasing a book, called ‘The Whitney I Knew’. The book will be released on July 31, and will include never-previously seen photographs of the pop superstar. Are you interested in reading Bebe’s book? And do you think it’s odd for him to being penning a book, in addition to Cissy? Or the more memories of Whitney Houston, the better? [Monsters & Critics]
