Petition Launched to End Shawty Lo’s, ‘All My Baby Mamas’ Reality Show
We aren’t the least bit surprised about this latest petition. Valid or not, y’all play cousins STAY creating a petition for something. But some say that the following petition may be warranted. A woman by the name of Sabrina Lamb has created a petition to cancel the newly scheduled Oxygen show, featuring ATL rapper Shawty Lo. As most of you know (if you read this site), the show, called ‘All My Baby Mama’s’, features Shawty’s family, which of course, includes his 10 baby mama’s and 11 children. Uploaded to Change.Org, the petitioner writes the following letter to Oxygen decision makers:
Cancel Shawty-Low show aka “My Babies’ Mommas” and all programming which demeans black children, women and stereotypes black men!Our Children…our Community… Deserves Better.
Ban This Poison.
Cancel This Television Broadcast.Oxygen Television Network is prepared to broadcast a one hour special celebrating the dysfunction of rapper Shawty Lo…aka the insulting title “My Babies’ Mommas” witnessed by his 11 children…by 10 different women…(some may have been underage) as they….argue, beg, fight for emotional, financial support and sexual reward.
What is the difference between this ministrel show and the others which clog the airwaves without proper balance of the beauty and positive aspects of our community??
THE CHILDREN!….OUR CHILDREN!
The children are front and center..or used as bargaining chips! The children painfully witness their parents’ behavior. And it is their children…OUR children who will hold all of us accountable by allowing them to be exploited internationally in this manner….for not standing up for them and for our people!

This annoys me. Why does this reflect ALL black people. This is nothing like my life. The trailer was not even ghetto and had little drama. My life is nothing like this so do not group me with this. Again not all people are alike so don’t group us, it’s stereotyping. I’m going to be blown if it’s cancelled because I am excited for this show.
It effects us all because people who don’t know you and only have what they see on tv will group you (us) together. As ignorant as it maybe, its the truth

regardless of the fact that many of us dont live like this, we are ALL labeled when they see these things on tv. They dont have relationships with us so media is what they rely on to “know” how we live.And its not just in America.Many professionals in other countries get turned down because they think that black americans dont speak english, are ghetto/gangsters,violent, etc.There is a word (similar to nigger) for black people in every country.Media plays a big part in how we are perceived. Sad but true. This show needs to be stopped! There are so many other things they can put on tv.This is disrespectful and insulting.
oh, and what is not ghetto about having that many illegitimate children by that many women?

This show will allow not only Shawty Lo to make money to take care of his 11 kids but also the mothers will be able to earn from their story as well. Although I do not agree with the title, I don’t have any problem with the objective of the show. At the end of the day, if you have no regard for the show CHANGE your channel. SIMPLE!
If this show is cancelled I’m gonna be hurt. I was looking forward to it.

There is nothing positive about this show. However I do enjoy ratchet tv.
I def dont support it but if they werent so busy getting a degrading yet instantly recognizable title they prob would have gotten away with it. The “Title” ….. Not a smart move.

At least he is taking care of all his kids. It’s men out here with only one child and don’t take of them or claim them. My son’s father got one child and barely does anything for him. Yeah he got 11 kids but at least he takes care of his business.
