Singer/Actor/Author Tyrese, Visits Howard Univerisity + “All men are expected to cheat.”

32-year-old singer and actor Tyrese Gibson, visited Howard University, in Washington, DC, to promote his first book, How to Get Out of Your Own Way that hits shelves on April 7. With an audience full of mostly women (a few men when were in the audience too), Gibson discussed relationships. Peep a few jewels that he shared with the audience:

On selecting a mate/partner: “Who you decide to share your life, your heart, your space, and your time with is a direct reflection of who you think you are.

On men cheating: “Men that don’t cheat do exist in the world. It’s serious, men are instilled to have sex with as many women as possible. Don’t own the cheat, don’t make it yours.  Because it’s something that we do.”

On love and sex: “For men sex is like taking off your shoes. There are certain qualities a man should look for in women before they have kids.

Gibson also explained that a lot of relationships fail because we try to paint a full picture of what we want our relationship to be like and look like, instead of painting the picture day by day. When we jump to the future, we tend to get upset when the future doesn’t turn out the way we pictured.

Tyrese also stopped by the Wendy Williams Show to discuss his new book, along with his perspective on cheating. Peep the footage:
