[WATCH] Tyrese Calls His National Anthem Performance, At Mayweather Fight ‘Horrible’
Well, you win some and you lose some, right?
Singer Tyrese sang the national anthem last night (May 3rd), during the Floyd Mayweather Jr. v Marcos Maidana fight. The 36-year-old crooner started off the song, dedicating it to the controversy surrounding the LA Clippers owner, Donald Sterling, telling the audience:
This is on behalf of a racist-free, America.
After belting out the tune, there were a few mixed reactions to his performance. Tyrese, himself, admitted that he wasn’t pleased with his performance. Perhaps it was nerves or exhaustion. In either case, Tyrese wrote:
I just watched it….. I sounded horrible tonight on the anthem……. I will say it myself….. Good #American moment but not my best! We all have one of those night…… My #RnBPedigree is extensive…. Let’s leave it there……
