Wendy Williams Criticizes Vivica A. Fox For Joining ‘Hollywood Divas’: This is a low move for your career.
Is reality TV a good move for an established actress?
Talk show maven Wendy Williams certainly doesn’t think so. On Friday, Wendy shared her opinion on why she was not a fan of Vivica A. Fox joining TV One’s reality show, Hollywood Divas. [Click here for the backstory].
During Wendy’s ‘Hot Topics’ segment, the say it like you mean it host explained that quite frankly she feels that Vivica is above this type of show:
Vivica Fox, I love you, but I hate this idea. You are above this. For goodness sake, you were in Pulp Fiction! What are you doing joining the cast of Hollywood Divas?
Wendy points out that she feels like the cast isn’t on Vivica’s professional level:
Now, there’s nothing wrong with Hollywood Divas and shows like that….but they are for a certain echelon of people. When I think of Vivica A. Fox, I’m not comparing her to Golden Brooks, from Girlfriends.

I agree with wendy.
I whole-heartedly agree with Wendy! I was aghast, and had the exact same thoughts as Wendy, when I learned that Vivica was joining Hollywood Divas. Lisa Wu? Countess Vaughn? Golden Brooks? Love all these gals, but at the peak of their careers they were C list at BEST. Very disappointed in Auntie Viv! I hope she still has time to pull out!

she has bills just like everyone else that need to be paid. if job offers are flowing in like they once, then why not collect a check by doing this show?
wendy is awfully judgmental for someone who decided to get knifed/wigged up and live her life like a drag queen waiting to topple over. But that’s neither here nor there, while there may be some validity to her point, my question is WHY? Why is Celebrity Apprentice a higher echelon of reality tv? B/c it’s on Fox, the same network that pays you? Because its audience is predominantly white? b/c it’s backed by Donald Trump and a white network??? im just trying to read between the lines, b/c reality tv is reality tv.. if you ask me.
