Remy Ma Can't Perform Nicki Minaj Diss Track

Remy Ma Can’t Perform Nicki Minaj Diss Track

Remy Ma’s epic diss track, shETHER, directed at Nicki Minaj has virtually disappeared. The track samples Nas’ classic ‘Ether‘ (a diss track aimed at Jay Z released in 2001) and this week, there were reports that Nas had Remy’s track removed online.

Remy Ma Accuses Nicki Minaj of Sniffing Cocaine, Sexing Trey Songz & Malfunctioning Butt Implants On "Shether" [New Music]

However, according to a new report, Nas had nothing to do with having Remy’s Shether removed. We’re toldĀ that Universal Music Publishing owns the song and had the song removed. Reportedly, Remy did not have clearance to sample the track and because she did not have the appropriate permission, it’s been removed from Sound Cloud and radio. Remy also will not be able to perform the track. As of Thursday night, the track was still available via iTunes.

Remy nor Nas have yet to comment publicly.

  • Oh please

It doesn’t matter Nick I it’s still in the ether!

  • Oh please

Columbia records Own the Rights to the song and the beat, they’re allowing some sites to keeping it up only to make profit for themselves, while Remy will be getting NOTHING….!!!!!!

      • Oh please

They own the rights to the beat but doesn’t she owns her master’s? If she wanted to say the lyrics accapella without music she could right?

      • Oh please

that’s not how it works. If they own the rights to the song as the performer of the song she still gets paid. Ask Nikky how it works when you don’t own your songs.

      • Oh please

that’s not how it works . Shether went to number 2 on iTunes and Remy did and continues to get paid for that . Ask Nikky how it works when you don’t own your songs. You still get paid.

  • Oh please

    It’s still on TIDAL.
