Remy Ma Can’t Perform Nicki Minaj Diss Track

Remy Ma’s epic diss track, shETHER, directed at Nicki Minaj has virtually disappeared. The track samples Nas’ classic ‘Ether‘ (a diss track aimed at Jay Z released in 2001) and this week, there were reports that Nas had Remy’s track removed online.

However, according to a new report, Nas had nothing to do with having Remy’s Shether removed. We’re told that Universal Music Publishing owns the song and had the song removed. Reportedly, Remy did not have clearance to sample the track and because she did not have the appropriate permission, it’s been removed from Sound Cloud and radio. Remy also will not be able to perform the track. As of Thursday night, the track was still available via iTunes.

Remy nor Nas have yet to comment publicly.
