Gary Owen Tells Mo’Nique To Stop Slandering Will Packer

Gary Owen has a message for Mo’Nique – stop slandering his friend, Will Packer’s name. On Monday, the comedian posted a video on social media, calling out his fellow comedian over her remarks about producer Will Packer. In the clip Owen says about Mo’Nique,

She went too far, when she started blaming Will Packer. That’s my friend. That’s my homeboy. Will Packer has done more for black actors and actresses than just about anybody in the last ten years. I mean he is basically showing Hollywood, that black movies have a mainstream market.

Gary’s comments seem to be in response to a social media post from Mo’Nique. In the post, Mo’Nique shares an email exchange between her husband/manager and Packer. We’re told the emails took place while she was filming ‘Almost Christmas’. 

Sheesh.
