EXCLUSIVE: R.Kelly Thanks Chicago & His Fan Base In Leaked Track “When I Think Of Home” [New Music]

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports a song by R.Kelly has been leaked, via Jamie Foster Brown. On the track titled “When I Think Of Home”, the 52-year-old singer reimagines Stephanie Mills’ “Home” which was a song from the 1975 Broadway musical, The Wiz. Sources tell us that the track was recorded a long time ago.

The original song was written by Charlie Smalls and was performed by Mills in the stage production and by Diana Ross in the 1978 film adaptation and released on the soundtrack album in 1978.

On the track, Kelly begins by thanking his hometown Chicago.

He sings,

When I think of home I think of a place where there are die hard fans that love me
And whenever I’m out of town, no matter where I go you know that I’ve got to represent the C.

On another part of the track he belts out,

When I think of home, I think of a place where there’s babies made to my music
When it comes to support showing Kellz some love – Chicago- y’all really know how to do it.
