Rev. Al Sharpton, Jay-Z, John Legend & Others Help Lay Heavy D to Rest

Friday, the private memorial service for Heavy D (Dwight Arrington Myers) took place at Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, NY. A number of close friends, family members and celebrities ( Jay-Z, Will & Jada Pinkett Smith, Usher, Diddy and Janice Combs, John Legend, Queen Latifah, etc.) were in attendance. Reverend Al Sharpton read a special message from President Obama, while Heavy’s nieces dedicated a song to him, along with other loved ones.
